What is AMG?
Founded in 1997, Asset Management Group is a financial firm with special focus on retirement planning, employee benefits, risk management and investment services. Our Property and Casualty Division provides a wide range of products. It offers protection for auto, home, commercial and business insurance. With this, we offer a free service that allows you to compare auto and home insurance rates across top providers and finds you the cheapest rate for your exact coverage.
How does AMG work?
AMG’s technology is able to do in minutes what it would take you hours to do on your own. Enter your information into our user-friendly online forms. With this information, AMG agents pull up your accurate quote for the cheapest price among our list of major carriers – all for free. Speak to our professional agents to guide you and we’ll handle all the paperwork.
What types of insurance does AMG shop for?
We currently shop for your car, home, renters, commercial, and life insurance. Our technology can also find discounts for bundling multiple types of insurance, so the more information you provide us, the higher the potential to save!
We can also offer motorcycle and RV insurance – please ask your AMG advisor for more details.
How is AMG different from other insurance comparison sites?
We continue to strive for a modern solution that makes it easy for people to receive the best quote among the variety of carriers we work with. We never solely recommend the cheapest price. Our mission is to provide a seamless process that allows you to select the right amount of coverage for the most reasonable price in as little time as possible.
The majority of insurance quoting websites have the main goal of collecting their consumer’s information for the purpose of selling data to other insurance companies. As a result, a lot of unfortunate people are spammed with calls, emails, and even texts.
At AMG, we try to avoid this as much as possible. We believe that our business is really all about the quality of personal relationships – with clients and colleagues. AMG will never sell or share your data without your consent.
Is AMG licensed?
Yes, we are currently licensed in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
How can I contact AMG if I have questions?
You can email us anytime at email@example.com or chat with us directly (703) 218-6770. If you select a quote and would like to move forward, we will also assign you a personal advisor that you can contact directly.
Is there a fee?
AMG is free of charge! There is no requirement to bind your policy after quoting and we will never charge you fees.
If the service is free to use, how does AMG make money?
We are a licensed insurance broker. We get paid by the insurance companies we work with when we sell one of their policies. Remember that when we show your quote, we will always recommend the cheapest policy with the best coverage no matter what.
Do I pay AMG directly when I purchase a policy?
No, we sell you the policy but you pay the insurance company directly via bank account, credit card, or mortgage bill. We gather your payment information so that we could turn it into the insurance company to pay for your policy if you decide to switch, but we will never take money from you or charge any additional fees.
What should I expect when signing up with AMG?
The process of signing up with AMG is extremely simple and straightforward:
Will AMG sell my data?
We promise to never sell your data to anyone!
How long does it take for AMG to provide a quote comparison?
In most cases, you will get your quote estimates within minutes, hours at most. In a few minutes to hours, we’ll contact your to provide you a more solid quote. If our technology is unable to verify all the information automatically, we will have to manually review your policy so there can be a bit of a delay. This typically won’t take more than 48 hours, and we will let you know as soon as we’ve completed the quote comparison.
What if AMG doesn’t find me savings?
If we don’t find you savings, you can sit tight for now – we’ll simply congratulate you on already having the lowest rate.
What is an insurance declarations page, and why do I have to provide it?
A declarations page is a summary of your policy that summarizes what is covered by your insurance and what the premium is. The declarations page is commonly found when you log in to your current insurance provider’s online portal and is also sometimes referred to as the “information page” or “dec page”. If you can’t or don’t want to connect your insurance account directly, we need your declarations page so we can find the lowest rate for the same coverage levels.
How do I change the cars and drivers on my quote?
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact your AMG insurance advisor directly.
Does AMG check my credit?
AMG does not perform a credit check. Some of our insurance partners will do a soft credit check as part of their approval and quoting process, which does not affect your credit score.
Why did my savings change after I provided additional details?
Insurance rates are based on a number of factors, all of which can impact the exact rates you receive. The quotes we display in the initial quote comparison are based on the information provided to us during the sign-up process. If the insurance company finds any differences between the information reported and what they find on your driving record or insurance history (such as an accident, speeding ticket, etc.) your quote will most likely change. Your AMG advisor will always provide you with a final, confirmed quote that you can review and approve before deciding whether or not to purchase the policy.
Can I switch my current insurance to a cheaper option anytime?
Yes, you can switch insurance companies anytime. Typically, even if you have already paid for a full policy term, you can cancel and get money back on a pro-rated basis. There are a few companies that charge an “early termination fee” – please speak with your AMG insurance advisor directly about your individual situation.
How will I receive my new insurance card?
The insurance company you choose will send you your new card directly, but we can also send the card and other necessary documents to you if you need it right away.
Who do I call if I have a claim or question about my coverage?
You can call us or the insurance company directly, whichever you prefer. We are happy to help!
